Doris Blowers

Doris Blowers 85, of Gentryville, IN. died January 28, at St. Charles Healthcare Campus.

She was born February 1, 1934 in Gentryville, IN. to Otto and Esther (Hicks) Oskins. She graduated from Gentryville High School and worked at Wedeking’s Store in Dale and later retired from the USPS. She was a lifetime member of the Gentryville United Methodist Church. She and her husband were the Caretakers of Garden of Memory Cemetery for many years. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Robert F. (Bob), two sons Frank and Rob Blowers, a brother in infancy and a sisters Helen Bolton and Margaret Griepenstroh.

She is survived by a daughter Janet Blowers. Grandchildren Shannon (John) Bender, Tiffany and Cole Blowers. Great grandchildren Shawn and Sarah Bender and Addaley Moseley. And two brothers Jim (Fern) Oskins and Richard (Gail) Oskins.

A Funeral Service is planned for Monday February 3, 2020 at 1 PM CST, with Visitation from 10:30 AM CST till servicetime at the Gentryville United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gentryville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Garden of Memory Cemetery.
