Robert Mcgowen

Sgt. Robert McGowen I.S.P. (Retired) 92, of Santa Claus, IN. died on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Scenic Hills at the Monastery.
Robert was born June 2, 1929 in Bremen, Indiana to Charles and Hilda (Thompson) McGowen. He married Arvilla Simmons on April 16, 1949.  He was a member of the Santa Claus United Methodist Church, he also enjoyed traveling and family time.
He was preceded in death by his wife Arvilla, and a daughter Jenny Walker.
He is survived by a son Richard McGowen, and daughters Kathy Hinkle and Pamela Neighbors. Three grandchildren Jeremiah and Koleena Hinkle, Shannon Englert as well as four great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Saturday July 3, from 3 - 4 PM CST at Santa Claus United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services are planned for Saturday July 3, at 4 PM CST at Santa Claus United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the Santa Claus United Methodist Church Cemetery.
